Carbon monoxide detector with built-in battery Tesatek

Tesatek carbon monoxide detector with an electrochemical cell and built-in non-replaceable lithium battery – under normal conditions both the battery and the cell last 10 years from manufacture. It reacts only to carbon monoxide, not to other gases or temperature. Three indicator lights on the front: green flashes every 30 s in normal mode, red in the event of an alarm, yellow for a fault or end of service life.

Use

• To activate, remove the plastic strip protruding from the top edge – a signal sounds and the green light flashes once
• The detector needs 90 seconds to activate – do not press the button during this time; the detector does not yet respond to carbon monoxide
• Then test the detector: hold the button down for at least 5 s – the alarm sounds and the red light flashes
• Pressing the button during an alarm silences it for 120 seconds; if carbon monoxide persists, the alarm starts again

Installation

CO detectors must not be installed: outdoors; in a garage; in very dusty, greasy or very humid rooms (laundry, sauna); in the immediate vicinity of a sink, bath or shower; in an enclosed place or one that is hard for CO to reach (behind a curtain, in a cupboard, under a cupboard); in a place with strong air flow (vents, fans, hoods, doors, windows); in the immediate vicinity of a stove, oven or other heater; in the apex of a vaulted ceiling, on the beams of an A-frame ceiling or on a sloping ceiling; closer than 30 cm to fluorescent lamps (electrical interference can cause false alarms); where the temperature is below +5 °C or above +40 °C or the relative humidity is below 20% or above 90%.
