Skin disinfectant Chemi-Pharm Chemisept G, 250 ml

Chemi-Pharm Chemisept G alcohol-based colourless skin disinfectant for preoperative skin antisepsis. Broad fungicidal and bactericidal action – kills gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including the tuberculosis pathogen) and fungi, and inactivates enveloped and non-enveloped viruses (including HBV, HIV, rotaviruses and adenoviruses). Pure low-volatility ethyl alcohol helps prevent respiratory allergies. The long-acting disinfectant keeps an environment unfavourable to microbes on the skin for 3 hours, after which the normal microflora is restored. Colourless – also suitable for cosmetic surgery. Tested against BVDV (HCV surrogate), vaccinia, adeno-, rota- and herpesviruses, and therefore inactivates all enveloped viruses, including the blood-borne HBV, HCV and HIV as well as orthomyxoviruses (including influenza virus H5N1) and herpesviruses.

Use

• Preoperative preparation: apply to the skin with a sterile swab soaked in the product and rub in thoroughly; treat twice, 1.5 min each time (3 min in total). Apply incision film only to dry skin.
• For aseptic surgery, start at the incision area and move towards the periphery; for septic surgery, start at the periphery and move towards the septic area.
• Before injections and blood sampling: moisten the skin twice with a new swab and allow to dry, contact time 30 s.
• Before intra-articular injection, puncture, arthroscopy and cannulation: treat the skin twice with a new swab, contact time 30 s.
